Hey… found your site while googling for an aau logo. I like your writing style, and I’m laughing as what you’ve gone through I hear a lot. I ended up moving out of housing for various reasons… but enjoy AAU overall, especially learning from talented teachers.

I also wanted to go to SVA, but I didn’t get in. Since coming here though I think I like SF better (more parks, hills, interesting sites than in manhattan that keep me creative). Good luck with your studies and the future!

Most IT Departments are incompetent and uncaring and the more you know about IT, the more it is guaranteed to irritate you. At least you finally have the Internet back now.

I admire your chivalry and courtesy in dealing with immature and drunk members of the opposite sex. You constantly surprise me with the wit and relevance of your posts.

@Margaret: Actually, she does. I’ve run into her a couple times since then, and when she sees me, she says hello in the most embarassed possible tone, apologizes profusely and thanks me, breaks down into awkward giggles, and then says, “I’m not drunk!” before leaving. Poor thing.

@Russell: Don’t let my love of sarcasm and humorous negativity fool you into thinking that I’m unhappy. Really, even right now, things are pretty good. A bit stressful to be sure, but things will be less hectic by the end of next week since I’ll be caught up from having switched majors.

Yikes. Sorry to hear about unpleasant drunks. At St. John’s they just stumble humorously down mountains and into ravines. Making them hike for their beer tends to teach moderation.

I look forward to hearing about your new classes (which will hopefully make for a more positive entry).

James: oh yes, I’ve seen that movie already, that’s why I wanted to know what you thought about it. And if you’re talking about backgrounds, “5 Centimeters Per Second” is really good (but a bit depressing) and fappalicious clouds are “Beyond the Clouds, The Promised Place”. Now those two also have some amazing backgrounds, but not really action packed. For just crazy art, “Paprika”. Although japanese anime movies are sometimes just … weird :P
