Quick Post: Name a movie character who reminded you of yourself or someone you know.

I relate to Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing. He is rational, reserved, altruistic, determined, and has a certain quiet ferocity about him.

People often find him to be overly serious and emotionless, but the people that get close to him all eventually come to understand how he sacrifices himself for them over and over because he cares so much. They know he’s impassive most of the time just because he’s so desperate and focused.

Only a handful of people know how he’s actually a very sensitive, warmhearted young man. He’s much more human than most people think.

Anybody else have any characters that reminded you of yourself or someone you know?

    I can't think of one off the top of my head, but I know I've spotted similarities several. Usually they were minor things, though. I don't think I have a character that jumps out like "that's me."

    First off, Urban Dictionary seems to think that it's "weeaboo." And second off, you and I both know that I'm about as un-weeaboo as it gets! :'[

    Lol. I'm the guy who doesn't deny usually preferring dubs to subs, and doesn't demand that stuff be from Japan to qualify as "real anime," and rolls his eyes when people speak or write Japanese to try to establish their eliteness. Any one of those things basically makes me automatically not a weeaboo.

    Heh, yeah. You need to download a show called "Seto no Hanayome" and watch the character named Saru. He reminded me of you EVERY TIME I saw him.

    Such a funny, ridiculous show… Loved it.

    Okay, behind the scene movie geeks…Anyone in the industry heard of an upcoming release, Once Fallen in 2009? Ed Harris, Peter Weller, Amy Madigan, Taraji P. Henson, Brian Presley, Rance Howard, Sharon Gless, Peter Greene are some of this awesome and/or beautiful cast. My friend who worked on the set said little Keegan Thomas, age 5, was absolutely amazing as well… Any news on this one?
