Let’s Compare
Take a look at this. Apparently, Michael Moore left some things out of his last documentary, Sicko, because even he thought it was too much. Curious, I took a look for myself, and it really is quite alien feeling. I mean, if you’ve seen Sicko, then you know that he talks a lot about how some other countries have better healthcare programs and standards of living than we do, but they didn’t feel “alien.” This actually feels alien. I don’t want to give anything away, so just watch it below, and only after you finish watching should you keep reading.
It’s weird. Part of me feels like it’s just ridiculous. Even in the leftist libertarian socialist paradise that is James’ dream society, treating people in prison isn’t happening. But, at the very end, the warden said something about how, “If you treat people well, they might change.” I’m still not sure I’d want my state to treat them as well as he does, but it got me thinking. Maybe I wouldn’t got that far, but then, maybe they’re on to something.
Anyway, I just thought it was a real eye-opener since usually the only videos of other places that feel alien are videos of really, really poor dictatorships and the like that feel like they’re on another planet because it’s so miserable, but this is just the opposite. That is, it feels alien because it’s such a different level of nice to the point that it’s unbelievable, and so nice that I wonder if it’s wrong (and that’s me). Figured you all might be interested too.

Who’da thunk’ it? NORWAY!?! Sounds, awesome! Although, Micheal Moore…..erf…well, I don’t know about this. It might be another lie. XD

I actually happen to like Michael Moore’s various works. He’s a clever guy, and although I don’t agree with everything he says, I appreciate the amusing way he says it.
When you say “another lie,” can you point to the first lie? As obviously and intentionally opinionated as his stuff is, I don’t think he’s been caught making things up.

You have a problem with hyperbole for dramatic effect in general? :P
Heh, what in particular made you feel that he crossed the line from "making a point in an amusing way" into "taking it too far?" Just curious.

“Lie”, well, hmm where to begin. I should have reworded, “farfetched”. He takes the LITTLEST things and just expands…way to far. XD
