Globetrotter Comes Home

I’m back in Coronado now. I had a great time working up in the mountains, but it’s definitely nice to be home. And it’s certainly nice to have a bit more cash in my pocket, too. I won a design competition recently and got the check today, and that plus my paycheck from working up at Montecito makes me feel pretty good.

Man, am I tired. As I always do when she’s not near, I missed sleeping with my dog curled up against my legs. Apparently Sparky hasn’t been sleeping well either while I’ve been gone. Man, sleeping in my own bed will feel great tonight.

But I’m not going to be here for too long. For the first few weeks of October, I’ll be spending time with Robert Mayer, my super awesome biological father who I finally got to meat last year. We’re going to spend some time in San Jose and San Francisco before heading over to explore French Canada (we’re going to check out Montreal and Quebec City, and perhaps Vermont), and then we’ll head back to the bay area for a bit.

That’s not all, folks. I’ll only be home for a short while after that to catch my breath before heading off to New York City and Virginia. Phew. I love traveling and I really, really do look forward to all of this, but it does make me tired just thinking about it. Good thing I’ve got Sparky nearby again.
