Computer Repair and Consultation
Here is the actual classified in the Coronado Eagle (minus my phone number):
COMPUTERS AND ELECTRONICS SERVICES.
PC and Mac help, installation, password recovery, wireless networks, printer and gadget setup, backups, laptops, security reviews, cost-effective custom PCs, and friendly tech consultation. $20/hr.
General Service: $20/hour
This is if your computer is acting strange or under-performing, you need help getting a new computer or device set up, you need to back up or transfer important data, or you just need a little bit of help with your machine. Available for Microsoft Windows (XP and Vista), Apple Macintosh (OS 9 and OS X), Linux (any distribution), and BSD (any distribution).
System Password or File Recovery: $75/account
If you’ve lost the login password for your account, I’ll get you back on track. Please note that my techniques are reliable for alphanumeric passwords up to fourteen characters in length. Windows Vista is a bit more difficult than Windows XP, but either way, if I don’t get the password or can’t at least recover your files, then you don’t have to pay.
Build A Machine: $50/machine
Based on how much you’d like to spend on parts and what you’d like the machine to do, I’ll recommend each and every single part to compose your computer. Just to give an idea, I have built machines costing about $600 with a monitor included for people that have had the same specifications as machines that retail between $1500 to $3000. Available for Microsoft Windows (XP or Vista), Linux (Ubuntu), or BSD (PC-BSD). Linux and BSD options are both free and open source, and I can show you what they look like and let you experiment with them before you decide.
Graphic Design
Please notice that I retain and assert all rights to non-final products! This means that you can’t just go and take my sketches and drafts and stick them up on the web to get around paying for a final product!
Web Site Layouts: $10
These are the humble blueprints of a design, and give you chance to see what directions I might go in and make comments before really getting committed. Buy three to get one more for free!
Thumbnails: $15
Very similar to sketches, but a little bit more developed so that you can see what I’m thinking of with a bit more clarity. For web sites, what I will do is take a layout and draw it more stylized on paper. For logos, business cards, and stationary, this would be the first step toward seeing what a final logo could possibly look like.
Web Site Drafts: $50
This is an image of what the final web site will look like. This preview allows you to see just what you’re going to get, and provides one last opportunity to give me feedback before work begins on the final.
Final Logo: $80
This is a fully developed logo for you to use in print and web media. Usage rights are included.
Final Business Card or Stationary: $40
These are custom, professional templates, which means you can insert different names for different employees without paying twice for the same work. Usage rights are included.
Final Web Site: $150, $225, or $300
This is a complete web site, with the design and code ready to be deployed. They can be built using HTML, XHTML, and CSS ($150) with PHP, JavaScript, or AJAX for advanced features and effects ($225), or Flash and Shockwave ($300) depending on what is most appropriate for your needs. Usage rights are included.
Logo Package Deal: $100 (separately would be $125, so you save $25)
Includes three thumbnails and one final logo.
Web Site Package Deal: $200 (separately would be $235, so you save $35)
Includes two web site layouts, one thumbnail, one web site draft, and then one final web site (using HTML, XHTML, and CSS).
Revisions: $40, $60, or $80
These are sets of changes made to a final design in order to produce a new final design. $40 for logos and standard web sites, $60 for sites with PHP, JavaScript, or AJAX, and $80 for Flash and Shockwave media.
